The Forest Hills Tennis Stadium opened in 1923 and quickly became one of the most popular tennis venus in the country. By the 1960s, it was hosting musical acts ranging from Jimi Hendrix to The Beatles. After a long hiatus beginning in the 1980s, it reopened as a music venue in 2013.
